Live Around Town This Week

Following a busy week of shows both here in Seattle (City Arts) and New York (CMJ) we can relax this week with a much more manageable schedule. There are a few great choices too. Monday starts with a proper punk rock show at the Crocodile with The Bronx. For Wednesday you can pick from a number of great choices - The War On Drugs at the Tractor, Gold Panda at the Crocodile, or SBTRKT at the Neptune. Speaking of “proper” Punk Rock shows, on Thursday The Damned are at the Showbox for their 35th Anniversary Tour and Spank Rock are at Neumo’s. Friday kicks off the weekend in style with the highly anticipated Reykjavik Calling: Sister City Showcase at Neumo’s with an international line-up that features musicians from Seattle, Iceland, Greenland, and the Faroe Islands. Saturday and Sunday come complete with the Earshot Jazz Festival, great local shows at Columbia Theatre, and one of most beloved events of the year -- KEXP’s Halloween Kids Dance Party hosted by John Richards on Sunday.
